Weight Loss 13th Week Result: The Wedding Weekend

This weekend we had the honor to attend the wedding of a nephew. It was a great affair with a lot of food involved. Keeping faithful to my fasting was a challenge! My weight went up and down so quickly in a few days. My last result on April 18, 2022, was 90.35 kg (199.18 lbs). These are my results today.

My nephew was married in a church, and the family served lunch to the guests. There was a reception party in the evening. So it was a lunch and dinner event.

The dinner part is interesting. The food was served buffet-style. I meant to take only a small amount of food so I count taste most of the dishes. What I didn’t realize was how calorie-dense all the food was. The calories add up quickly.

I was already at 89.05 kg on Saturday morning, just a little nudge away from getting into the 88 kg range. Sunday morning, I got on the scale and faced the reality that my weight went up 400 grams. It wasn’t so bad actually, considering I once gained 1 kilogram in one day. Although I passed my calorie budget by a lot that day, thanks to keeping away from carb-dense food the excess eating did not wreck my entire diet that week.

On the other hand, that Sunday I was so calorie-conscious that I ended up only consuming less than 800 calories for the whole day. I didn’t realize it because I didn’t make a food log entry until past my closing window. Had I known I was still 700 calories under budget, I would have had a nice dinner that day.

Please don’t overindulge and punish your body like that. If you overate, just go back to your normal calorie budget and ramp up your exercise to return the balance.
