I have been on Intermittent Fasting for three weeks now. My last result on the first week was very favorable with having lost 2 kilograms. Unfortunately, the past two weeks I have been stuck around 96 kg, 2.7 kg from my initial weight.

Although it is a lot slower than I expected, I’m rather pleased with the result so far. Considering that I took the following detours from my original plan, this is still adequate.
- I changed my fasting pattern from 16:8 to 14:8. Previously I started fasting between 5-6 PM, and broke it between 9-10 PM. For the past week, I stopped calorie consumption at around 7 PM, and had my first calories at 9 AM.
- I spent the last 7 days mostly indoors to quarantine after tested positive for Covid-19. I cannot walk outside to avoid spreading Covid virus to unsuspecting neighbors. I burned so little calories being active. I tried to change to stair climbing. I spent nearly 7 minutes going up and down the stairs at home before my legs gave up. I managed to burn 57 calories. If want to burn about the same calories as when I walk, then I should spend 30-40 minutes on the stairs. But hey, starting little is better than not starting at all.
- I had french fries for snack. Twice.
- I had alcohol.
Interestingly, during meals, I feel full easily now. I use it as a sign to stop eating. When I crave second helpings, I let myself have it only in a much smaller portion. Or I have something sweet to induce satiety and signal my body that no more calories are coming in.
I still have 1 more week of quarantine. So need to step up on exercising and step down on snacking. Wish me luck!
