I did a successful diet in 2018. I lowered my weight from 95 kg to 75 kg. Around the same time, I picked up running. That helps me keep my weight down. When the pandemic hit, I lost interest in running. Now I have regained all the weight I lost – and some extra as well.
2018 was the fourth weight loss program I took. The most successful attempt was in 1997. I kept it for nearly 7 years before I lost control of my eating habit.
I began to think that I was supposed to be obese. I loved eating. I could not think when I craved food. That could happen several times a day, even when I was still full from lunch.
There had been warning signs that set my thinking straight. My blood pressure jumped. Sometimes it’s difficult for me to breathe. I felt lethargic and low on energy.
I had to take action before something bad happened.
Because it was difficult for me to eat 100% clean, I decided to try intermittent fasting. My research showed that it helped to adjust the body into a more regular eating habit through insulin reduction. As long as I had fiber, moderate protein, and lower carb, I should be able to control my insulin level and keep craving at bay.
I would keep you updated in my future posts.
